Event with tradition: Review of the 5th Logistics Forum Moscow

For the fifth time, some 120 German and Russian representatives of the logistics scene gathered at the Logistics Forum Moscow on April 18, 2018. This was held parallel to the TransRussia logistics fair in downtown Moscow.

The Logistics Alliance Germany together with the BVL Chapter Moscow, the Ministry of Economics, Transport and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Port of Hamburg Marketing e.V. and the LUNO Group have invited to this event. The exciting programme revolved around the topics of the maritime economy, rail freight transport, heavy goods and project logistics, trade logistics and the future logistical development potential on the German and Russian side. The presentation covered various logistics solutions and routes that are lived between Germany and Russia. Whether beer tanks of exceptional size from Belgium to Russia, train connections as part of the New Silk Road from Rotterdam to Moscow or insights into the Moscow Master Plan, the speakers gave informative keynotes. A lively panel discussion on the New Silk Road rounded off the forum.

Dr. Torsten Sevecke, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economics, Transport and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, opened the subsequent evening reception, with around 200 participants, at the invitation of Logistics Alliance Germany and the Ministry of Economics, Transport and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The guests took the opportunity to continue the professional exchange in a festive setting.

With its 5th anniversary, this event has already become a tradition in Moscow and the extensive opportunity for networking is particularly appreciated by the participants.
