From 23-24 January, the Logistics Alliance Germany (LAG) was in India to host a stand at this year?s transport logistic India @ CTL 2018 in Mumbai in the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

On the evening before the start of the two-day trade show at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, LAG jointly hosted a reception together with the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India. The forum titled ?Logistics Made in Germany? presented the numerous services offered by the German logistics industry and the advantages of these logistics solutions. Additional focus was placed on the practical experiences of Indian companies that are already active in the European market and have entered into partnerships with European logistics providers. The firm representation of the needs of Indian logistics companies led to a lively discussion. The EEPC India counts as a longtime partner, a relationship that was further strengthened by the 2016 signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the EEPC and the Association for the Development of Logistics Alliance Germany (F?rderverein LAG).

On 23 January, the first day of the fair, Logistics Alliance Germany hosted a forum titled ?Logistics for the Future ? Solutions and Support Offered by the German Logistics Industry.? The challenges facing the logistics sector around the world and the key services of the LAG were presented to a broad audience of industry professionals. The advantages of German logistics solutions were emphasized via real-life examples from a variety of business areas.

The positive resonance of this forum was evident immediately afterwards in the influx of visitors at the LAG stand. Many of these Indian logistics stakeholders requested concrete service options and wanted to learn more about finding partners within the German logistics industry. Many of them pointed out that the Indian logistics market has been more easily accessible for foreign investors and logistics companies since 2014. Implied in this was the hope that cooperation and exchange with German logistics companies can be intensified.

The team at the stand included members from the Association for the Development of Logistics Alliance Germany (F?rderverein LAG), who used the opportunity to meet and have discussions with clients and partners. Amongst them were a.hartrodt as well as a representative of the port Hafen Hamburg stationed in Mumbai. On the second day of the trade show, the LAG stand hosted an afternoon reception that gave numerous exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to make contact and chat with LAG representatives.

The annual trade show, which is realized in close cooperation with Messe M?nchen, marked its 10th anniversary this year, hosting around 90 exhibitors. More than 4200 visitors took advantage of the event to meet with important players in  the logistics branch. Since its debut, the trade show has continually boosted its targeting of relevant groups and refined its implementation, establishing itself as a solid feature in the international marketing activities of the LAG.
