LAG Delegation Trip to India in February 2020

At the end of February, the Logistics Alliance Germany (LAG) will lead a delegation trip to Mumbai, India, including participation in the transport logistic INDIA @CTL 2020 exhibition.

India has been displaying impressive growth for years and has become the seventh-largest economy in the world. A further GDP growth of 7.1 % is forecast for 2019/20, and considering its sizable population of 1.3 billion (2017), the subcontinent still holds a great deal of potential yet. As early as 2030, India’s economy could rise to third place worldwide in terms of economic output.

The objective of the trip, taking place from February 24-28, 2020, is to initiate business contacts and expand partnership opportunities with companies and institutions from India. The focus is on export-oriented companies and producers, especially those from the economic hub of Mumbai. The trip is designed for German logistics companies who can use the LAG stand at transport logistic INDIA to make contacts, hold discussions, participate in specialist forums, and take part in visits and meetings, as well as conduct B2B and roundtable discussions with high-ranking decision-makers on site.

On the first day of the exhibition, February 27, 2020, the delegation will be led by Steffen Bilger, parliamentary secretary for the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and Government Coordinator for Freight Transport and Logistics.
Currently, the planned itinerary includes the following:

  • Three days in Mumbai with meetings with export-oriented companies and associations, an evening event in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), and a visit to air cargo India, taking place from February 25-27 in Mumbai.
  • Participation in the 12th international exhibition for cargo, transport and logistics, transport logistic INDIA @CTL 2020 (co-organized by Messe München), with a dedicated LAG exhibition stand and LAG forum on February 27, 2020.
  • The possibility to use the trade fair and the stand for individual appointments on Friday, February 28, 2020.

We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary.

The LAG is a public-private partnership between the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and the German logistics industry, formed with the objective of promoting Germany as a logistics location on an international level under the slogan “Logistics Made in Germany.”
