Looking Back: Participation in the 2019 transport logistic a success for LAG and Association members

[Translate to englisch:] LAG

This year's transport logistic Munich started off with a bang for Logistics Alliance Germany – namely, with a visit from Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer. Mr. Scheuer stopped by the LAG’s stand on his opening tour of the trade fair, attracting a lively crowd.

Marc Oedekoven, the new chairman of the Association for the Development of Logistics Alliance Germany (Förderverein LAG), extended a welcome to Minister Scheuer and Parliamentary Secretary Bilger. Next, the Minister presented membership certificates to two new members of the Förderverein LAG association: Contransport GmbH & Co. KG and the Baden-Württemberg Association for Shipping and Logistics. Many of the Förderverein LAG association’s 72 member companies were in attendance at the stand. With its generously spaced communications area, the LAG stand was the ideal meeting place for the German logistics industry.

While at transport logistic, LAG also connected with a receptive target audience via comprehensive marketing and PR activities and held several specialist forums.

Another highlight was the “LAG - Friends & Partners” reception on the first evening of the fair, which brought together 180 logistics representatives from Germany and across the world. Parliamentary Secretary Bilger, Förderverein LAG Chairman Mr. Oedekoven, and Mr. Schröder as chief advisor of the initiative welcomed the attendees. With balmy summer weather, Bavarian food and hearty music, the Franziskaner Wirtshaus provided the perfect setting for discussions that transcended national borders and business sectors, a true coming together of an extended network. Special thanks go to the sponsors for their support of the event.

On the second day of the trade fair, Birgit Breitfuß-Renner of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure opened a reception at the LAG stand, following directly after an LAG forum on the topic of blockchain. This was once again an opportunity for numerous conversations and discussions.

The full four days of transport logistic made clear once again that the trade show offers the ideal platform to make new contacts as well as to maintain existing ones, both domestic and from abroad. The importance of making new connections is also reflected in the high level of interest in the LAG’s matchmaking service, especially from abroad, and the many individuals who express interest in becoming members of the Förderverein LAG association. A significant number of inquiries have already been sent to the LAG network.

We look forward to seeing you again in two years, if not sooner!
