On 15 October 2020, freight forwarding company Jakob Weets e. K. celebrated its 35th anniversary. Started as a one-man business, the forwarding company has now developed into a group of companies that covers various areas in the industry. In addition to conventional transport by truck, the company offers other business areas that are constantly being expanded.

In 2018, the Weets Group expanded its portfolio in rail freight transport with the opening of a transhipment facility for overseas containers in combined road-rail transport. For the areas of automotive and offshore logistics, capacities were expanded in 2019 with the construction of an 11,000 m² hall. But also in the area of conventional transports, projects in the areas of autonomous driving with MAN and emission reduction, among others, show the constant further development.

As a medium-sized group of companies, the company also attaches great importance to the training and further education of its own skilled workers. In 2020, the freight forwarder received various awards for its commitment, e.g. the TOP Ausbildung seal of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Verkehrsrundschau award in the area of training and further education in the training network.
