Close Exchange Between German and French Logistics Stakeholders

Digitalization in the logistics and port industries, optimizing process duration, and reducing empty journeys are just a few of the topics to be discussed at a day of workshops on September 28 in Hamburg. In attendance will be a French logistics and economics delegation from Marseille.

A total of three workshops will be held on the following topics:

  • Marseille as a Mediterranean hub and the exchange between Europe and Africa
  • Environmental protection and the transition to sustainable energy in the ports of Marseille and Hamburg
  • Advantages and challenges of the digital revolution in the logistics sector, including a focus on the maritime economy

The representatives from the French logistics sector are keen to engage in an intensive dialogue with their German counterparts to discuss potential projects and joint solution approaches. For more details on the day?s program, get in touch via email at info(at)logistics-alliance-germany(dot)de.

Since the 2017 Logistics Alliance Germany delegation trip to France, a closer relationship has developed with the French association for maritime and inland river transport, Union maritime et fluvial (UMF). The association represents logistics companies in the greater Marseille area and advocates for closer partnership with Germany?s logistics sector, which includes strengthening the alliance between Hamburg and Marseille for the long term. The two twinned cities are connected by a partnership agreement that celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
